About Mike’s Balance
Mike’s Balance is an independent European science and health publication based in Finland. We cover health, wellbeing, longevity, nutrition and personal experiments through evidence-focused analysis. We keep established evidence, preliminary findings, hypotheses and personal observations clearly separated rather than blending them into one level of certainty.
What we publish
What does the evidence actually show?
We trace popular health claims back to their measurements: what was counted, which comparison was made and what the result can legitimately mean. Alongside reviews of published research, we publish original checks of open data, reproducible calculations and carefully labelled personal observations when appropriate.
How we work
Different claims, different confidence
Published evidence, clinical context, preliminary findings, hypotheses and personal observations are presented as different categories, not as interchangeable facts.
